Product Description
The HM130 portable sawmill can increase its cutting
capability by 6′ 5″ (1.95m) with the addition of a track extension. The
extension can be bolted to the existing track, allowing the sawmill to handle
logs up to 16′ 11″ (5.1m) in length. If necessary, multiple track
extensions can be added to mill logs longer than 16′ 11″ (5.1m). The
extension is made of 1/4″ (6mm) thick 2.5″ x 4″ (63mm x 101mm)
“L” channel with heavy duty 3″ x 6″ (76mm x 152mm)
rectangle channels for cross support. The cross supports disperse the weight of
the log over a large bearing surface, preventing indentations on the log. They
also add rigidity to the track system. Additionally, the cross supports are
covered with a stainless-steel cap to avoid staining certain woods like oak. An
adjustable log clamp is also included with the track extension to hold the log
securely during milling.
