Key Features
Precision Cutting
Mill logs up to 26″ (66cm) in diameter and create live edge boards up to 24” (61cm) wide. The standard track & trailer configuration allows logs up to 10’ 5” (3.1m), upgradable to 16’11” (5.1m) with the Woodlander XL. Veneers as thin as 1/16″ (2mm) can be cut, maximizing usable board foot output.
Efficient Power
Powered by a reliable 9.5hp or 14hp 4-cycle Kohler petrol engine with a slant cylinder design, cast iron cylinder bore, overhead valve, and Quad-Clean 4-stage air filtration system. Industrial centrifugal clutch for easy Gas & Go operation. Engine backed by 3-year Kohler warranty.
Rigid Track System
2.5″ x 4″ “L” channel with 3″ x 6″ rectangular cross supports ensures even weight distribution and prevents log indentations. Quick-lock log clamp secures the log. Trailer frame with 1/4” thick laser-cut plates and tubular supports provides a rigid chassis. Standard track supports 10’ 5” logs, upgradable to 16’11” with XL.
Auto Locking Sawhead
16 locking positions with acme lead screw ensures extremely precise adjustments (accuracy 1/64” / 0.4mm). Magnetic log scale rulers included for easy cut alignment.
Auto Locking Adjustable Blade Guide
Keeps blade guides close to the wood, reducing blade wander for precise cuts. Stainless steel v-rollers and machined aluminium arm for superior performance. Standard on 14HP, optional for 9.5HP.
Gas & Go Operation
Throttle handle engages engine RPM, saw blade, and auto lube simultaneously. Adjustable handle position for comfort. Efficient cutting of hardwood with minimal effort.
RapidChange™ Blade System
Tool-less quick blade changes with reduced tracking adjustments. Belleville washers act as shock absorbers for consistent blade tension.
Thin Kerf Blades
1.25″ x 144″x 0.042″ hardened tipped blades. Minimal 0.080″ (2mm) kerf for maximum lumber yield. Sold separately by Old Talgai.
Woodlander™ Trailer
Chassis made of laser-cut plates and tubular cross supports for rigidity. Galvanized steel frame, torsion axle suspension, LED lights, 4 leveling jacks. Optional log loading ramp kit. Trailer head locking kit included for transport. Sold in Australia and New Zealand as off-road trailer; registration is buyer responsibility.
