The HM136MAX™ is driven by the dependable 21 HP Honda GX630 V-twin engine. Infused with racing-inspired technology, the GX630 runs smoothly and operates exceptionally quietly. Our engineering team collaborated closely with Honda to ensure perfect compatibility between their engine and our sawmill, ensuring it’s up to the task for both workload and environmental conditions.
HEAVY-DUTY 4-POST CARRIAGE ASSEMBLY
The HM136MAX™ boasts a robust 4-post head design, fortified with a laser-cut welded back beam and top tubular crossbeam, delivering unparalleled structural integrity to the sawhead. This assembly is securely anchored by our precision laser-cut carriage side plates, ensuring exceptional rigidity and enabling smooth, precise cuts.
GAS AND GO AUTO LUBE SYSTEM
Woodland Mills™ sawmills is equipped with a convenient gas and go auto lube system. This innovative feature means that engaging the throttle handle simultaneously activates the engine RPM, saw blade, and our patented auto lube system. This streamlines the lumber cutting process, making it both swift and efficient, while also reducing the number of steps needed by the operator.
ALUMINUM LUBRICANT TANK
Woodland Mills™ sawmills come with a weather-resistant aluminum lubricant tank, guaranteeing enduring performance even in the harshest conditions. The tank’s needle valve provides precise control over the flow to the auto lube valve, allowing for fine adjustments as required.
CONSTANT-PRESSURE SAWHEAD U-BUSHINGS
Woodland Mills™ engineered a distinctive constant-pressure U-bushing that ensures a secure link between the saw head and the carriage posts, enabling seamless vertical movement. Crafted from durable glass-filled nylon, these U-bushings boast an extended service life.
RAPIDCHANGE® BLADE SYSTEM
Exclusive to Woodland Mills™, the RapidChange® blade system revolutionizes blade replacement. This tool-less method minimizes the necessity for blade tracking adjustments after changes. Utilizing stacked Belleville washers as a shock absorber, it maintains consistent blade tension across all temperatures, alleviating stress on the blades.
DUAL RACE BEARING CARRIAGE WHEELS
The saw’s carriage wheels are equipped with a dual race bearing, offering optimal contact between the rolling wheel and the track surface. This guarantees stability from the wheels to the track, all the way up to the sawhead. The specially designed radius profile in the groove and the square-topped tracks are engineered to wear in sync over time, creating a perfectly matched set. Additionally, stainless steel wire sweepers are in place to keep the track free from debris while in use.

To streamline your assembly process, we meticulously pre-assemble crucial components of the sawhead. This advantage means you could be milling by the end of the day, rather than waiting until the end of the weekend!
POWDER-COATED STEEL BLADE GUARDS
Our blade guards are constructed from robust, powder-coated metal, ensuring durability and a long lifespan. To enhance convenience during sawhead maintenance or blade changes, the guards are designed with side hinges, enabling them to effortlessly pivot out of the way and offer unimpeded access.
ADJUSTABLE THROTTLE CONFIGURATION
Our adjustable throttle assembly offers complete customization for individual needs. You can position both the throttle and push handle according to your preference based on track height, ensuring a comfortable operating experience.
EXPANADABLE RIGID TRACK SYSTEM
The sawmill head smoothly traverses along a robust machined L-channel, reinforced by sturdy 3″ x 6″ (75 x 150 mm) rectangular log bunks. These cross supports ensure that the log’s weight is evenly distributed over a large bearing surface, preventing any markings or indentations on the log, while also adding extra rigidity to the track system.
The Sawmills are engineered to cut logs up to 10′ 5″ (3.1 m) in length with the standard track configuration. For those seeking even greater cutting potential, additional 6′ 5″ (1.95 m) track extensions are available. These extensions come complete with an additional log clamp assembly, log support, and necessary bunks, enabling you to tailor the cutting length to your precise requirements.The track is equipped with 12 leveling legs, offering up to 4” (10 cm) of adjustment for achieving optimal stability and alignment.
GO MOBILE WITH WOODLANDER® TRAILER PACKAGE
With the Optional Woodlander® trailer, you can effortlessly transport your HM136MAX™ to various locations. This bundled package not only grants you an improved working height but also offers the flexibility to move the sawmill between different work sites or stow it away in storage with ease. The inclusion of leveling jacks ensures swift and efficient adjustment of the trailer and tracks when they are deployed.
AUTO-LOCKING ADJUSTABLE BLADE GUIDE
The top-tier Auto-Locking Adjustable Blade Guide is crafted with stainless steel V-rollers and a precisely machined aluminum arm. This design ensures the guides stay in close proximity to the wood being cut, effectively minimizing blade wander.
AUTO-LOCKING SAWHEAD
The auto-locking mechanism guarantees exact and reliable control. A straightforward push and a rotation through 16 locking points allow for seamless adjustment of the sawhead’s height. Paired with an Acme lead screw, this system provides precise adjustments with an accuracy of up to 1/64”. Additionally, traditional magnetic log scale rulers are provided to facilitate precise alignment for your cuts.
