Engineered to suit 15–30 HP PTO tractors, the TF46 PRO includes a self-contained hydraulic infeed system with a generous 10 cm x 15 cm (4″ x 6″) infeed opening, ensuring smooth feeding of branches and hardwood offcuts. A 360-degree rotating discharge chute provides maximum flexibility when working in tight spaces or varied terrain.

Technical Specifications

Patented Twin Flywheel Technology

Chipping and throwing are the two core functions of any wood chipper. By using two flywheels, we’ve optimised the speed and performance of each task independently.

The primary chipping flywheel spins at 540 RPM, delivering high torque where it matters most. This provides powerful, consistent chipping performance and allows the machine to process larger material using less PTO horsepower.

The secondary flywheel operates at twice the speed (1080 rpm), propelling chips out faster and farther. This high-speed flywheel dramatically increases airflow through the system, helping move lightweight, wet, leafy, and coniferous material smoothly through the chip stream. The result is reduced build-up, fewer blockages, and more efficient operation, even in challenging conditions.

Capacity

The PTO woodchipper TF46 PRO is designed to operate on tractors with 15 to 30 HP at the PTO. It features a large 48 cm x 48 cm (19” x 19”) infeed hopper that tapers down to a 10 cm x 15 cm (4″ x 6″) opening. At this point, a 15 cm (6″) diameter hydraulic feed roller grips the material and consistently feeds it into the chipper.

The PTO woodchipper TF46 PRO efficiently processes material ranging from as small as 6 mm (1/4”) up to 10 cm (4″) in diameter, making it suitable for everything from light brush to larger branches.

Hydraulic Infeed System

Branches are pulled into the PTO woodchipper TF46 PRO by a 15 cm (6″) diameter infeed roller. The roller is hydraulically driven by the self-contained hydraulic system, with the hydraulic pump belt-driven from the main flywheel shaft.

The infeed roller on the PTO woodchipper TF46 PRO features adjustable direction and speed, making it easy to feed branches of all shapes and sizes while maintaining smooth, consistent operation.

Stainless Steel Gas-Charged Infeed Springs

The infeed system features stainless gas springs that deliver more consistent force from the infeed roller compared to conventional coil springs. In addition to maintaining constant pressure as materials pass through, the gas springs provide a dampening effect when material sizes change, resulting in a smoother and more reliable infeed.

Reversible Chipper Blades

The PTO woodchipper TF46 PRO utilizes four high-quality 8 mm (5/16”) thick hardened steel reversible chipper blades. The blades are positioned 90 degrees apart and can be reversed, giving two cutting edges per blade for extended use. They are secured to the flywheel with four countersunk M10 bolts.

Blade changes are quick and easy, thanks to the clamshell flywheel housing design. Simply undo one bolt and the upper flywheel housing swings open, providing full access to the flywheel and chipper blades on the PTO woodchipper TF46 PRO.

Flywheel Locking Pin

Say goodbye to unsafe blade changes with the Woodland Mills flywheel locking pin. The PTO woodchipper TF46 PRO is fitted with a flywheel locking pin, making blade changes and flywheel maintenance safe, simple, and convenient. The pin slots into a series of holes positioned so every blade on the PTO woodchipper TF46 PRO can be easily accessed for reversing or replacement.

Discharge Chute

The chute is designed to rotate 360 degrees, allowing you to direct wood chips in any direction by simply adjusting the two handles. The end of the chute stands 1.5 m (58”) off the ground, making it easy to discharge chips into the back of a truck or trailer. A rotating deflector at the end of the chute provides additional control, letting you aim the chips straight for maximum distance or angle them downward to deposit chips directly onto the ground or into a trailer.

Folding Infeed Chute

The PTO woodchipper TF46 PRO features a large 48 cm x 48 cm (19” x 19”) infeed chute, making it easy to feed branches with multiple limbs effortlessly. For added convenience, the infeed chute can be folded up to reduce the footprint of the PTO woodchipper TF46 PRO during transport or storage.

Adjustable Chainsaw Holder

The PTO woodchipper TF46 PRO comes with an adjustable chainsaw holder featuring nylon slides, making it easy to fit different bar widths. It provides a secure place to transport your chainsaw around your property, keeping it safely stored while you move between jobs.

Quick Hitch Compatible

The PTO woodchipper TF46 PRO features a Category 1, 3-point hitch system designed for tractors with 15–30 PTO horsepower. It is also quick-hitch compatible, allowing for faster and easier hook ups so you can get to work with minimal setup time.

PTO Shaft

Included with the TF46PRO chipper is a PTO shaft complete with a shear pin.

Assembly

The chipper will arrive in a steel crate and can be set up in as little as one hour.

Weight

The TF46PRO was designed for property owners but built like a commercial wood chipper. It weighs 620 lbs (281kgs).
